Wind Hollerin'
As I update my website, I can hear the wind a hollerin' through the trees.
Did it get down to 30 below zero?
I did laundry until about 2 a.m. and when I got up at 8:30 a.m., the water was not frozen. I don't know if that was necessary, but I know it always works. In previous winters, when we had 50-below spells, I'd get up every few hours and use some water.
Keith came home last night with a bunch of insulation and heat tape for the water pipe in the garage. Even though the pipe is raised off the floor about six inches, that must be where it froze yesterday because it didn't thaw out until we heated the garage up to 80 degrees.
Today is clear and windy. No, it's not thirty below, it only feels that cold.
Frozen Water Pipes
We have had very little snow, but we are being hammered with cold weather. The weatherman predicts 30 below zero tonight, the coldest temperature so far this year. I hope he is wrong. Our water froze last night, but it's thawed out now.
Ice Festival
One good thing about this cold weather, it's very good for the ice carvings.
